Neustift in Tyrol is situated in the
Stubaier mountains and is a well known sports paradise - in summer as well
as in winter. Sports enthusiasts have the opportunity to try their hand
at, and enjoy, many great sporting activities that are on offer. |

During the summer months,
Neustift is a real eldorado for bikers, mountain-bikers, hikers, climbers,
golf fans, and water lovers. The lateral valleys offer ideal conditions
for hiking trips. Climbing fans will be delighted with the Elfernordwand,
the Elferkogel, the Ilmspitze and the Ochsenwand. The Kampl lake is the
prefect invitation to enjoy some bathing and don’t let bad weather spoil
your fun – you can always enjoy the indoor pool in the Neustift recreational
centre. |

Other activities that can be enjoyed
in summer and winter are paragliding, hang gliding, tennis, squash, excursions
in horse-drawn carriage, horse riding, wild river kayaking, bowling and
shooting. |

Neustift, with its Stubaier
glacier and ski-lifts for eleven people, is the ideal winter sport resort
for all lovers of skiing, ice skating, snowboarding, cross-country skiing
and carving. Beginners and children will find two ski schools at their disposal.
For those who love action and fun there are several toboggan runs and winter
hiking paths. |

“Eispickelmuseum Neustift“ (a museum for ice picks) and day trips to the
Telfes ‘birds of prey’ Park or to Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. |
